The rapid rise of multimedia computer technology has accelerated the process of college English teaching reform. With the wide application of information technology, educational methods in universities are becoming more and more diversified and efficient. The combination of modern information technology and English teaching also has a good prospect. Because classroom multimedia computer-assisted instruction is cheaper and easier to operate than network multimedia computer-assisted instruction, many colleges and universities use classroom multimedia computer-assisted instruction in English classes. Multimedia English teaching has been widely used in Colleges and universities. The deepening of College English teaching reform calls for the involvement of multimedia computer technology in English teaching. This paper mainly expounds the advantages and existing problems of multimedia computer-aided English teaching, and puts forward some reasonable suggestions on the use of classroom multimedia computer-aided English teaching.
